Alliance PEO Chapter GC hosted a Quilts of Valor (QOV) presentation in honor of four local American heroes on Aug 18, 2020. Service members and Veterans receiving QOV include Richard Jaggers, Steve Nelson, Bill Reno and Todd Harris.

P.E.O. is a philanthropic organization where women celebrate the advancement of women; educate women through scholarships, grants, awards, loans, and stewardship of Cottey College and motivate women to achieve their highest aspirations.

A Quilt of ValorR (QOV) is a quality, handmade quilt that is machine or hand quilted. It is awarded to a Service Member or Veteran who has been touched by war. The Quilt says unequivocally, “Thank you for your service and sacrifice in serving our nation.”

All QOV quilts are made by volunteers who agree to follow the QOV guidelines. QOV given to the four Veteran’s shown were made primarily by PEO GC members.
