The Lady Bulldogs entertained the visiting Columbus Discovers on Friday, December 13. The Class A Discovers prevailed 54-23 and currently stand 2-3 on the year. The Lady Bulldogs fell to 0-4 with the loss. The Bulldogs continued to be plagued by injuries and illness. Leyton Schnell did return but was limited in action for the weekend.
The Lady Bulldog defense was improved limiting the Columbus starters to 14 points all night. Addison Kudron came off the bench for them and exploded for 22 points herself. The Bulldog offense continues to be hampered by turnovers. The Bulldogs would commit 38 on the night. A 5 for 20 effort from the foul line was also a concern. The Discovers would have command by halftime leading 26-6 and coast to a 54-23 win.
All five starters would get 20-25 minutes of playing time on the night. Keeley Mazanec stepped in with her first varsity start of her career. The offense was led by Angie Davis with 8 points. Jordan Hopp would put in a workman like performance leading the team with 9 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocked shots. Shelbee Burke and Emma Wood would each come off the bench and pick up 10 minutes of playing time. Shelbee would contribute 5 points and 3 rebounds in her time. Freshman Kenna Montes would score the first varsity points of her career.
