Not sure if the ladies tennis team will be getting their next few matches in — with mother nature again being unpredictable and not very spring friendly yet. Nevertheless, the ladies did get some playtime in this past weekend as they took part in the JV Invite in Ogallala.  Alliance, North Platte, McCook, Gering, Scottsbluff and Ogallala all participated in the invite.

According to head coach Kathy Brock, “The girls had fun. We saw a lot of stuff that we need to improve on but for the most part the girls had a lot of fun and a lot of playing time.”

Brock also noted it was a good experience for the JV team. Good experience and I was so happy that I could bring 13 girls.

Payten Gibson and Alysha Gunn played number one doubles placing 5th. Josephine Schnell and Brooklyn Branstiter played number two doubles placing 5th. Number three doubles was Kaylie Bolinger and Kayla Campos placing 5th. There were two sets of number four doubles— Kasey Jensen and Emerae Korte  and Trinity Jewett and Jessica Garza played for Scottsbluff. Double four doubles places 5th.

The ladies are in action today (Tuesday) in Lexington.
