Battling poor weather conditions, the Hemingford Junior High Track Team traveled to Kimball Thursday, where they saw results.

“Our athletes had a very good day in windy, blustery conditions,” said Coach Randy Hiemstra. “We really look forward to the rest of the season with these kids!”

The following are the results from the athletes who placed in the top 10 in their events:

 

Boys:

100 Meters:

Neo Powell claimed seventh place with a time of 13.00.

200 Meters:

Neo Powell claimed second place with a time of 26.90.

Darin Turek took fourth place with a time of 27.90.

Cody Rathjen placed fifth with a time of 28.50.

400 Meters:

Hayden McDonald claimed seventh place with a time of 1:11.90.

Rich Turek took ninth place with a time of 1:13.10.

4X100 Relay:

The Hemingford relay team took first place with a time of 52.90.

4X400 Relay:

The Hemingford relay team took first place with a time of 4:02.60.

Shotput:

Hunter Wyland claimed first place with a throw of 42’03.50”.

Discus:

Hunter Wyland claimed first place with a throw of 126’09”.

Rich Turek took eighth place with a throw of 90’04”.

Pole Vault:

Darin Turek claimed second place with a vault of 9’06”.

 

Girls:

200 Meters:

Kambree Walker claimed third place with a time of 30.70.

400 Meters:

Jayda Meyring claimed first place with a time of 1:12.60.

800 Meters:

Catherine Bryner claimed sixth place with a time of 3:01.10.

1600 Meters:

Carlye Kresl claimed sixth place with a time of 7:03.10.

4X100 Relay:

The Hemingford relay team claimed second place with a time of 59.90.

4X400 Relay:

The Hemingford relay team claimed first place with a time of 5:01.70.

Discus:

Avery Davies claimed fourth place with a throw of 70’11”.

Isabell Gomez took sixth place with a throw of 64’06”.

Triple Jump:

Brinna Phillips claimed fourth place with a jump of 26’06.25”.
