Amill and Montes strike gold at Gering Invite

Seventh grade boys tally 48 points





On Tuesday, the Alliance St. Agnes track teams ventured to Gering and competed in the Gering Invite. Top finishers for the Crusader were seventh grade boys team who scored 48 points. Triple jumper Jonah Amill led Alliance by winning the event with a leap of 30'6.

In the eighth grade girls division, St. Agnes ended with 20 points. Leading the charge was Kenna Montes who won the shot put and placed second in the 100 hurdles. Alliance's seventh grade girls squad finished with 39 points while the Crusader eighth grade boys scored 10 points.

"Pretty good day versus some great competition. We had 20 athletes that came home with medals and ribbons which is super!! Hopefully we can continue to improve as the season comes down to the last 3 meets," said Coach Mark Glesinger.

meet. Then on Saturday, April 27 Alliance will compete in Scottsbluff.
