Alliance Lacrosse Travels to Omaha

The Alliance Lacrosse team recently traveled to Omaha to participate in a US lacrosse clinic. US Lacrosse and the Sankofa Lacrosse Foundation hosted a youth clinic at Northstar Foundation. Alliance coach, Edison Rednest, stated, “We were invited by the North Star Academy coach. It was a good experience for our younger players. An opportunity to meet new players and get outside of their comfort zone. As far as lacrosse goes, we are pretty isolated from other teams and leagues in different states as well as in the eastern part of Nebraska. Our kids learned from US Lacrosse coaches and earned themselves a free stick and t-shirt. We took 11 boys with us.” The clinic was two hours long and was led by some of the best players and coaches in the country.
Alliance player, Jaedon Payne stated that, “ I really enjoyed the different coaches, and learning new skills. It was really cool to get to travel to Omaha and play lacrosse.” The Alliance team was able to bring their poles and play a Creator's game with the other teams. The weather was gorgeous and they were able to play this year, last year when the Alliance traveled to play in Omaha they were unable to play due to weather.
Rednest said, “It was a great experience for our players. They represented their families well. I am honored to be their coach.
