Bulldog timeout in Cheyenne South game

Saturday night found the Bulldogs in their third consecutive battle against a 4A school in Wyoming.  The Taco John’s Invite would close in heartbreaking fashion against Cheyenne Central.  The Lady Indians are 9-1 on the season and hold a very high rating in the largest classification of schools in Wyoming.  The Indians found a way to defeat Alliance 45-41.

The Lady Bulldogs would start hot rolling out to a 14-11 first period lead.  The Bulldogs again found balanced scoring from five different players.  The Bulldogs would again find foul trouble and have to go to the bench early.  The second period was more of the same as the Bulldogs again won the frame, this time 16-14 extending their lead to 30-25 going into the locker room.  The night would then turn cold for the Bulldogs as the Indians outscored them 11-0 in the third period.  The Lady Bulldogs would battle back in an exciting fourth period.  The Dawgs would have three different opportunities down the stretch to tie or take the lead while winning the period 11-9.  Unfortunately, Alliance would come up short breaking their winning streak at four games.

Ryley Rolls would lead the Bulldogs in scoring with 12 points followed by Emerson Cyza with 9.  Cyza would lead the rebounders with 13 followed by Rolls and Boness with 7.  Jordan Hopp would come off the bench with another fine performance adding 5 rebounds.  Rolls would also lead the steal and assist column with 3 in each column.

The Dawgs will be looking to continue their improvement next Friday night as the Chadron Cardinals come to town.
