Firefighters check over the accident scence, after both passengers made it out of the vehicle.

On Oct. 12, a vehicle with two occupants rolled once onto its hood on Logan Road, sending one person to the hospital.

According to Box Butte County Deputy Preston Walls, Austin Standage, 21, of Alliance was traveling eastbound between CR 58 and Highway 87 in a 2006 Nissan Sentra, when he lost control of the vehicle. It rolled into the south ditch.

A 14-year old was a passenger in the vehicle at the time of the accident, but was not injured in the rollover, and was allowed to be released to his parents.

Standage was taken Box Butte General Hospital to be treated for the injuries he sustained.

Walls explained that the vehicle had prior issues before the wreck.

“The driver, Austin Standage, advised the vehicle had prior front-end damage, and believed this was the cause for him losing control,” Walls said.

According to Walls, the vehicle was totaled in the wreck.
