There isn’t a whole lot for me to cover this weekend, though that’s not to say we there isn’t work in store for me. I wonder how things turned out at the city banquet last night …
On Saturday, the Girl Scouts have an event at Studio A known as “Art Venture,” something that takes place throughout the entire state of Nebraska! Girls register and select which style of art they would like to learn, then learn with one of four artists before collaborating on a piece later. Once completed, the piece is sold in an auction to raise money for scholarships or for girls unable to participate in programs like this. The event goes on from 1 to 4 p.m. and should make for a wonderfully creative session.
And that’s it! I will be spending my time reading and hopefully finishing my third book. I’ve set a goal for reading one book a month and boy has that escalated into something else. It’s a Star Wars book, not cannon anymore thanks to the new movies heading in a different direction. Still, I’m allowing myself the imagination to toy with what it might have been like to read it new.
These past two books have been mostly for entertainment and imagination. I’m hoping to have more time to browse for more books. If you have any recommendations, feel free to let me know! Of course, I’ll be doing plenty of other things aside from reading, but I am hoping all of this reading will help me transform my writing. In the meantime, stay warm from the impending weather and enjoy your weekend!
