McCart’s Work Featured in Lewellen

MelloDe McCart from Alliance is the featured artist at The Most Unlikely Place in Lewellen for the Month of May. You may see her art at the gallery/coffee shop/cafe during open hours, Wednesday through Saturday from 9 to 2. TheMostUnlikelyPlace.com.

In her bio, McCart writes: “I am a Nebraska panhandle artist, born and raised in Alliance, Nebraska. I have always. Had an appreciation of the natural world and history of this area. I use mixed medium palettes, which include pastels, colored pencils and colored inks. I strive to capture the sense of motion and a passing of time in the characters from times past and present. I am an award winning, jurored artist. I create original wood frames from naturally weathered wood from old barns and buildings and fences in Nebraska. I add additional accents pieces ranging from rusty barbed wire to bird feathers, tree bark and an assortment of other items to enhance the personality of each picture. These picture frams are available on the original pictures and by special order for prints. Originals and prints are available on my website: mellodemccartart.com.
