In order to follow the guidelines set forth by Governor Pete Ricketts in his Directed Health Measures, the Box Butte County Fair is planning to host a reverse parade on Saturday at 10 a.m.
People who wish to attend will be asked to sit in the grandstands while floats and entries are asked to line up along the street east of the fairgrounds. A check in will be hosted at the golf course. When the reverse parade begins, the floats and entries will be announced as they enter the fairgrounds. They will pass by the grandstands and exit on the west side of the arena.
The entry deadline will be extended until Aug. 7 at 9 a.m.
Following the reverse parade, at noon the Box Butte County Fair will host its first “Big Little Party.” Bands will play until 4 p.m. on a flatbed trailer at the fairgrounds. Artists featured include Nate Whartman, ULI Band, Gabriel the Brute and Kalin Krohe Reference.
People are encouraged to bring folding chairs and enjoy the music.
