The Alliance Police Department is on the hunt for Nicholas Flores, who is wanted on multiple felony warrants in Box Butte County and is accused of stealing a vehicle on Monday night.
According to Sergeant Cody Buskirk with the Alliance Police Department, Flores is considered armed and dangerous. Buskirk advises people not to make contact with Flores, or to try to apprehend him.
Buskirk explained that Flores stole a white 2007 Ford Mustang (with Nebraska License Plate 65-C767) after asking for a ride into Alliance.
“On July 29, at approximately 11 p.m., Flores had knocked on a residence door just west of Alliance, outside of city limits,” said Buskirk. “He contacted the resident there asking for a ride into town. The individual gave him a ride into Alliance. Inside city limits, Flores and the driver had exited the vehicle. Flores brandished a weapon and demanded the vehicle.”
The victim complied with Flores’ demand, and Flores stole the vehicle, which was last seen eastbound on West 25th Street in the direction of Highway 87 at a high rate of speed.
Flores has a number of tattoos, including a diamond tattoo below his left eye, ans “SSOD” on the left side of his neck. Flores was considered to be a fugitive from justice prior to this incident, Buskirk noted.
Any person with information about the whereabouts of Flores are encouraged to contact the Alliance Police Department at 308-762-3060, or their local law enforcement agency. Buskirk reiterated that people should not approach or try to apprehend Flores, because he is considered armed and “extremely dangerous.
