Ambassadors Visit the City, Bernie’s

Alliance is a Nebraska municipality of the first class whose services include water/wastewater operations, public safety, recreation, public transit, electrical transmission, and distribution, airport operations, community development, economic development, street maintenance, promotion of natural and cultural heritage, library operations, and senior citizen services.

The City is preparing summer facilities which include the Big Blue Bay Pool, Bower-Shankland Field, Hal Murray Softball Complex and Carhenge. The Electric department continues to replace electric meters throughout the city. Modifications will be made to the drainage at the landfill to improve access to fill dirt for covering solid waste. One of the major runways at the airport will be resurfaced this summer. Many of the City’s lift stations are being rebuilt or replaced to continue effective wastewater operations. The museums and the library offer exciting opportunities for people of all ages which include scrapbooking, quilting, and hosting/catering family events, coding club, Lego club, storytime, book club, author presentations, and the summer reading program.

The chamber provides excellent coverage of City events via the community events calendar. The chamber is an excellent partner to the City by serving on City committees and boards and providing events that improve the quality of life in our community.

To put it simply the people. Alliance is made up of engaged citizens that make this city a fantastic place to live. From campaigns to restore the fountain to efforts to improve the sunken gardens Alliance’s citizens work hard to provide amenities that improve the quality of life for our community. The friendliness and volunteerism of the people make Alliance a wonder place to visit or live.
