ALLIANCE — Jenna Garton, daughter of Steve and Pam Garton of Beatrice, was married to Matt Sedivy, son of Warren and Jeanie Sedivy of Alliance, in a double-ring ceremony at Beatrice Centenary United Methodist Church at 4 p.m. on June 27, 2015. The couple was married by Pastor Mark Schutt.
The bride wore a tulle trumpet wedding dress with an illusion, off-the shoulder neckline and lace overlay. Her bouquet was a mix of soft pink and ivory peonies.
The Maid of Honor was Taylor Garton of Omaha, sister of the bride. The Bridesmaids were Jess Bruguera of Shickley, friend of the bride and Emily Meyer of Beatrice, friend of the bride.
The Best Man was Dale Hall of North Platte, friend of the groom. The Groomsmen were Justin Sedivy of Springfield, Ill., brother of the groom, Scott Halouska of Alliance, friend of the groom, and MJ Hess-Vera of Alliance, friend of the groom.
The Ushers were DWU wrestlers that were coached by Matt in the past.
There was a reception following the service at Beatrice Country Club hosted by Reid and Carla Block of Alliance and Paul and Teresa Powley of Pender.
The groom’s parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at Beatrice Centenary United Methodist Church.
The bride, a 2006 graduate of Beatrice High School, received a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education from Peru State College in 2011.
She is currently a Pre-Kindergarten teacher for the Sterling Public Schools.
The groom, a 2001 graduate of Alliance High School, received a bachelor's degree in Elementary Physical Education in 2006 and went on to get his Master's degree in Sports Administration at South Dakota State College in 2009.
He is currently a Hunting Department manager at Scheels.
Following a honeymoon at Mt. Hood near Portland, Ore., the couple resides in Sterling, Neb.
