John Peterson sings the "brother-in-law" part to recorded music of a gospel quartet Monday night at a concert at the First Christian Church. He also sang bass and high tenor on the song, imitating the character of each part in the Southern gospel quartets he grew up with. Peterson said many quartets were made up of brothers, but if there were only three brothers in the family a brother-in-law had to be drafted as well.
